Hold it...stop the presses! This should read, "RETRACTION" of yesterday's review of the Grammy's. By magic the one written, titled, Grammy Awards': "Beyonce But Not Boyle" has disappeared. A whole different view was given by Mr. Farrell in that review which was fair and unbiased. Let's see if I can remember some points made...
-overall an FCC approved, least vulgar telecast in recent years with few mishaps.
-brilliant pairing of Sir Elton & Lady Gaga (mesmerizing)performance.
-one of the finer moments, the acceptance speech by MJ's children, articulate and heart-felt. No hyperbole, drama.
-high point, the Dave Matthews Band had the young hipsters out of their seats & rockin to his music.

These are not his exact words, but pretty close. Not finished yet! Some remarks he tweeted for those who follow him on Twitter:
Taylor Swift/Stevie Nicks..."latter needs less makeup but the pairing works."
Dave Matthews..."and then came Dave Matthews & a cast of how many? What a WOW!"

In all fairness, David, you should re-post what you previously wrote. Not that I don't agree with what you are saying in this review, but you have contradicted yourself.

Has everyone lost sight of what the Grammy's represent? It's not just about the music, it's about a "DREAM", one person out there watching who gets inspired by one performer. Be it country, classic, R&B, jazz music, as long as it ignites someones' dream, that's what matters. To hell with all the gliz & glamour, that's just part of drawing a whole new generation in to watch, and be damned it did! Younger people tuned in to watch Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and yessss, our very own Drake!!! In this crazy mixed up world, we all need something to hold onto. The Grammy's are damn well RELEVANT!!!

Well written, indeed. I can't decide whether the broadcast was a sign of the music industry throwing in the towel, or thumbing its nose at us. "You're not buying our music, so screw you. If all you want is a glitz (and things that rhyme with glitz) that's all you're going to get."

David:

Your review of the Grammy's acknowledged and confirmed the thoughts of millions who viewed it.
Brilliantly written....you are the voice of truth, with a bent towards the prose of a poet.
BRAVO.......
