WCMAs announce nominees list for Edmonton awards

wcma-2008.jpgThe 6th annual Western Canadian Music Awards (WCMA) will be staged in Edmonton, Oct. 16-19.

The three day confab includes showcases, an industry conference and concerts using most of the downtown core’s available venues. The headquarters for the conference and events is the Coast Edmonton Plaza.

The Awards Gala is scheduled on Sunday, Oct. 19 when 21 awards will be handed out, celebrating the pan-province assembly of acts and music from BC through Manitoba.  An gala awards on Saturday evening honours the industry participants such as managers, talent bookers and record companies.
